Parliamentary activity
The Alliance has meetings with three parliamentarians scheduled for 1st March 2016. These are:
  • Labour MP Jenny Chapman (Shadow Childcare Minister)
  • Liberal Democrat MP Mark Williams (Secretary/Treasurer, Dairy APPG)
  • Crossbench peer Baroness Masham of Ilton (Co-Chair, Health APPG; Secretary, Primary Care and Public Heath)

The Alliance has further meetings agreed in principle with five other parliamentarians. These are:
  1. Labour MP Andrew Gwynne (Shadow Health Minister)
  2. Labour peer Lord Watson of Invergowie (Lords Education Spokesperson)
  3. SDLP MP Margaret Ritchie (Member, Environment Select Committee; Vice Chair, Health Select Committee)
  4. Labour MP Diana Johnson (Vice Chair, School Food APPG; Vice Chair, Fit and Healthy Childhood APPG)
  5. SNP MP Dr Lisa Cameron (Vice Chair, Dairy APPG)

An answer was received to one parliamentary question tabled by Shadow Public Health Minister Andrew Gwynne, asking the Health Secretary how many portions of milk have bene reimbursed by the Department of Health under the Nursery Milk Scheme in each month of the last 10 years. Public Health Minister Jane Ellison responded with figures since 2009, which are available here .

Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen has offered to table one or more parliamentary questions on the European School Milk Scheme.
